This Earth Day, April 22nd, Western New Yorkers will March in Buffalo alongside the National March for Science in DC to protect our health, education, and safety. The Buffalo March for Science begins at 1:00 PM at Soldier’s circle and follows Lincoln Parkway to a rally and science festival in Delaware Park. Table space at the festival is available for interested groups.
The Buffalo March for Science stands for robustly funded diverse scientific enterprises serving the public and evidence based policy. Up to date science education creates employment opportunities in a growing economy. Western New Yorkers are taxpayers and deserve honest communication about publicly funded projects and databases. Everyone in Western New York has valid concerns for the future of our world and must be treated as partners in the advancement of science. Science, technology, education, and healthcare must be regulated for the public interest, requiring open, inclusive, and accessible science.
Purchasing a Buffalo March for Science T-shirt through www.bonfire.com/buffalo-march-for-science/ or donating through www.youcaring.com/marchforsciencebuffalo-753403 raises funds for the day of the march and nonpartisan education initiatives after the march. Share your sponsorship, readership, or time with the March and protect Western New York.
The Buffalo March for Science is a diverse nonpartisan volunteer group of scientists, educators, parents, and Western New Yorkers dedicated to advancing science that serves the public.
See you on Earth Day, April 22nd!
